Sessions are held in the comfort of my private in-home studio or at a thoughtfully selected on-location setting, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere for you and your family. I specialize in custom newborn and senior portraiture, offering a tailored experience that honors both you and your child. Newborn sessions are intentionally unhurried, allowing ample time for feedings, diaper changes, and soothing breaks—ensuring your baby’s comfort is always the top priority. Senior portrait sessions are crafted to help each client feel confident and relaxed, even those who may be camera-shy. What should I bring with me for my newborn session?

I’m often asked by clients, “What should I bring to my session?” At Desirae Jones Photography, my goal is to ensure your experience is as seamless and stress-free as possible—so in most cases, very little is needed.

The studio is fully stocked with an extensive collection of props, headbands, hats, wraps, bloomers, outfits, and more. Family heirlooms are always welcome and can be beautifully incorporated upon request. Before purchasing anything new, feel free to reach out—I may already have exactly what you’re envisioning.

Prior to your session, you’ll receive a brief questionnaire to help me thoughtfully plan your portraits and understand your preferences. Your honesty is encouraged—these images are meant to reflect you, and your input is invaluable.

For older babies, you may wish to bring one outfit of your choice to complement the session.

Thank you for choosing Desirae Jones Photography. Your session experience doesn’t end when we finish photographing—here’s what happens next.

Sneak Peeks

Within 7–10 business days, you’ll receive a preview of your session with sneak peeks shared on my Facebook business page, @desiraejonesphotography. You’re welcome to tag, share, and enjoy your images as you wish.

Your Proofing Gallery

Around the same time, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know your online proofing gallery is ready to view. This email will include clear instructions on how to select your final images.

Please note that proofing galleries are lightly edited. If you have specific retouching requests, you may include them in the Notes section of your gallery when making your selections.

Final Image Delivery

Once your image selections have been submitted, final retouching will be completed within an additional 7–10 business days. Your fully edited, high-resolution images will be delivered via email along with simple instructions for downloading your files.

Image Archiving

Desirae Jones Photography does not archive client images. Final galleries must be downloaded within seven days of delivery. After this time, the download link will expire and session files will be permanently deleted. I strongly recommend saving your images to multiple locations for safekeeping.
